Swiss Compute Desk GmbH ("we", "us", the "Desk") respects your privacy and processes personal data in accordance with the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/DSG) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have.

As a company established in Switzerland, we are not currently required to designate an EU representative under Art. 27 GDPR. Should this change, the details will be published here.

2. Personal data we process

Data you provide

When you contact us — for example via our contact form or by email — we process the information you submit, such as your name, email address, company, and the details of your enquiry or deal (e.g. specifications, region, timing). Providing this data is voluntary, but necessary for us to respond to you.

Data collected automatically

When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data required to deliver the site, such as your IP address, the date and time of the request, the pages accessed, referrer URL, and browser/operating-system information (server log data). This data is used solely for the secure and stable operation of the website.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics or profiling tools. No cookies are set for marketing purposes.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Responding to enquiries and conducting business — to answer your messages, prepare and perform mandates, and manage our business relationship. Legal basis: performance of (pre-)contractual measures and our legitimate interest in communicating with interested parties (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR; corresponding provisions of the FADP).
• Operating and securing the website — to deliver the site reliably and prevent misuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, functional website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Legal compliance — to comply with legal retention and accounting obligations. Legal basis: compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

4. Recipients and data processors

We only share personal data where necessary and with appropriate safeguards. Our processors include:

• Hosting: Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA — hosting and delivery of this website, including server log data.
• Email: Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC (Google Workspace) — for receiving and processing email and contact-form messages sent to our addresses.

We do not sell your personal data. Data may be disclosed to advisers, authorities or courts where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

5. International data transfers

Some of our processors are located in the United States. Where personal data is transferred abroad to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (and their Swiss addendum recognised by the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner) to ensure an adequate level of protection.

6. Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by applicable law (in particular Swiss statutory retention periods for business and accounting records). Enquiry data that does not lead to a business relationship is deleted once it is no longer needed.

7. Data security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including encrypted transport (TLS/HTTPS) for this website.

8. Your rights

Subject to the applicable law, you have the right to:

• request information about the personal data we hold about you (access);
• request correction of inaccurate data (rectification);
• request deletion of your data (erasure);
• request restriction of, or object to, certain processing;
• receive certain data in a portable format (data portability); and
• withdraw any consent you have given, with effect for the future.

In Switzerland this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern. If you are in the EU/EEA, you may contact your local supervisory authority.
